SACRAMENTO, CALIF (CDCAN) [Updated 05/25/2010 11:10 PM (Pacific Time)] - Several controversial budget proposals by the Governor will be the focus of the full Senate Budget and Fiscal Review Committee and the Assembly Budget Subcommittee #1 on Health and Human Services when they hold separate hearings Wednesday morning (May 26th) at nearly the same time. Both houses are moving quickly this week to close out this phase of the state budget process. This is the final week of budget subcommittee hearings – though the Senate Budget and Fiscal Review Committee is meeting and taking final action instead of its 5 subcommittees this week.
Senate Budget Subcommittee Health & Human Services Hearing Today – Updated Schedule of Final Round of Subcommittee Hearings As Budget Process Moves to Next Phase
SACRAMENTO, CALIF (CDCAN) [Updated 05/21/2010 06:10 AM (Pacific Time)] - The Senate Budget Subcommittee #3 on Health and Human Services will meet this morning (May 21) at 09:30 AM in the State Capitol in Room 4203, and focus on the Governor’s budget revisions released May 14th that impact developmental services, certain issues under the Department of Public Health including those dealing with AIDS programs, two issues under the Department of Health Care Services including family health and 3 “for vote only” issues dealing with mental health (but not the proposed suspension of the AB 3632 special education mandate or the proposed reduction of 60% of the funding for county mental health services).
