Senator Dean Florez was born and raised in the Central Valley and has proudly represented the region in the State Legislature for nearly a decade. He was first elected to the State Assembly in 1998, serving two terms before being elected to the State Senate in 2002. Danny Gilmore, a retired California Highway Patrol Assistant Chief, has served his country and his community with pride. That service began with his enlistment into the U.S. Marine Corps. in 1969. After assignments at Camp Pendleton, El Toro, and Okinawa, he received his honorable discharge and embarked upon an exemplary 31 year career with the California Highway Patrol.
