Assemblymember Bob Blumenfield was elected to his first term in the State Assembly in November 2008. He represents the 40th Assembly District, which spans the north-west portion of Los Angeles known as the San Fernando Valley, including the communities of Van Nuys, North Hills, Northridge, Reseda, Winnetka, Canoga Park, West Hills and Woodland Hills.
Assemblyman Adams has worked tirelessly to reform state government. During his first 3 years in the legislature he has successfully passed legislation that eliminates waste and streamlines government. He has helped trim the state budget by $20 billion while preserving funds for vital programs like education and public safety. The California State Firefighters Association and the San Bernardino County Board of Education have both named Assemblyman Adams as Legislator of the Year for his tireless efforts on behalf of our teachers and firefighters.
Mike Feuer was elected to represent California’s 42nd Assembly District in 2006. The chair of the Assembly Judiciary Committee and the Assembly Committee to Improve State Government, Mike has emerged as a leader on many of the most significant issues confronting California: improving state and regional transportation; reforming public education and the structure of state government; diminishing the health threat posed by toxics; confronting California’s water crisis; combating dangers posed by gun violence and drunk driving; and fighting for equal civil rights.
Diane Harkey (R-Dana Point), was elected to the California State Assembly in 2008 to represent the 73rd Assembly District. She serves the Orange and San Diego County communities of Oceanside, Camp Pendleton, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Hills and Aliso Viejo.
Assemblymember Bill Monning was elected in November of 2008 to represent the 27th District, which includes portions of Monterey, Santa Cruz, and Santa Clara Counties.
Assemblymember Noreen Evans represents the 7th State Assembly District, which includes all of Napa County and portions of Solano and Sonoma Counties.
Nielsen is the elected assemblymember from California's 2nd district. The district is one of the largest in terms of coverage area including Butte (7.26%), Colusa, Glenn, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, and Yolo (6.77%) counties.
