Assemblymember Joe Coto (D-San Jose) is currently serving his third term in the California Assembly. His agenda in the Legislature continues to focus on making California’s schools the best in the nation. He is also striving to ensure that all of California’s children have health insurance and are provided with the ability to experience the American dream. This dream includes going to college, securing a good paying job, and owning a home.

Nathan Fletcher is the State Assemblyman representing California's 75th District. He is the first combat veteran of the Global War on Terror to serve in the California State Legislature. Assemblyman Fletcher serves as Vice Chair of the Assembly Health Committee and the Select Committee on Biotechnology. He is a member of the Accountability & Administrative Review, Water, Parks, & Wildlife and Utilities and Commerce Standing Committees. In addition, he sits on the Select Committees on Foster Care, Child/Adolescent Health and Safety, Healthcare Workforce Access, Safety and Protection of At-Risk California Communities and Government Reform.

Bonnie Lowenthal was elected to the state Assembly in 2008. Her district includes California's only inhabited island, the largest port complex in the nation, and one of the most economically and ethnically diverse populations in the state.

In November 2008, Nancy Skinner (D-Berkeley) was elected to represent the Bay Area’s 14th Assembly District. The district includes Albany, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Emeryville, Kensington, Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, Pleasant Hill, Richmond, San Pablo and parts of Oakland and El Sobrante.
