The 3rd District spans the Golden Gate Bridge, connecting high income areas of the North Bay with the eastern portions of the City and County of San Francisco.
In November of 2006, Senator Dave Cogdill, of Modesto, was elected as the Representative of the 14th District to the California State Senate, garnering 67% of the vote. The 14th Senate District is comprised of all or a portion of the following counties: Fresno, Madera, Mariposa, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tuolumne.
Throughout his tenure in the California State Legislature, Senator Gilbert Cedillo has championed the issues of the working class and immigrant community in the district he represents and across California. In 1998, Gilbert Cedillo won a seat representing the 46th California State Assembly District, which encompasses downtown Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, and Huntington Park, in a special election. Cedillo quickly emerged as a leader in state government where he became Chair of the Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Health and Human Services and served as Assistant Majority Leader.
The 9th District is the focal point of the East Bay Region. This mostly urban district includes important harbors, airports, universities, and businesses.
Elected to represent the 29th Senate District in 2008, a region that includes portions of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties. Prior to serving in the Senate, Bob Huff served the 60 th Assembly district from 2004-2008.

Senator Roderick D. Wright was elected to the California State Senate in 2008, representing the 25th District which covers the communities of Alondra Park, Athens, Compton, Gardena, Florence-Graham, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Ladera Heights, Lawndale, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Palos Verdes Peninsula, San Pedro, Watts, Westchester, Westmont, and Willowbrook.
